Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Save on Calipers
This tool is most useful in my workshop - I am rebuilding a classic motorbike - and I like the fact that you can change from imperial to metric with one press of a button. One good feature is that the first time you move the caliper when it is switched off, it automatically switches on. The drawback is that just slightly moving the slider when putting it away means it is left switched on and so the battery runs down. The battery is quite fiddly to replace, However it is well finished and as long as you put it away carefully, you should have no problem with it. Recommended.

This is ok for basic comparison of sizes. In reality it is not much use for accurate measurement because it will not return to zero. By that I mean if you close the jaws up and zero it you only have to then open the jaws up and return it to closed to get some random reading. if you have zero'd it when closed it should return to zero when used. It is convenient for basic measurements in that it will be more accurate than a ruler but you need to spend a lot more than £8 to get a quality vernier. Probably OK for the price but could and should be better.

I was a little sceptical when ordering this as some of the reviews were negative. But image my surprise when it turns up in a hard cary case. Full metal caliper with easy to read LCD screen and from the 3D prints I've made using it. They are very accurate. Just goes to show I'm glad I didn't let the other reviews put me off. Especially at such a good price.

At the first look it looks crap, when I slide it, it has a very large play. My old one wich is 20 years old does not have that play. When it is moved to zero, it bounces up and down a few of hundreds. The slide seizes half way at about 6cm. The finish, I think, it was made by a one eyed chap with an angle grinder. I cannot describe how miserable I feel. Last time I bought one of these from Romania and they where 100 times better. If you look at the photos you can see that the surcace has no finnish, the edges are sharp. The thumb wheel remained blocked, I barely could move it again. The depth rod is just way to small for its sliding place, and has a huge play. If any of the above reviews are true, you guys just never seen a real calipper before

A bit hard to be accurate with, as when you zero it, does not seem very stable. Other wise very good, takes a bit of getting used to.
