With this lens I think you do get what you pay for. It's heavy but compact, build quality is amazing, wide open it is super sharp in the centre, wonderful bokeh and a fantastic portrait lens. By the time you reach f/2.8 it is beautifully sharp edge to edge and therefore great for landscapes and cityscapes or for video use. You are not going to get the same wide aperture and sharpness from a zoom lens, but I think you need to ask yourself at this price how often you would really use the 75mm f/1.8.

EXCELLENT - Equivalent to 150mm in 35mm - regarded as the best M43rds lens - and not beaten by ANY / equal to the very best 150mm's on the market (no matter of format/make) in ANY price range!!! Excels as a long portrait lens, cuts out any distortion and ultra sharp right to the edge of frame. Very fast f1.8 handles low light with ease. Shots of flowing water are absolutely stunning also!!!

This is a very high quality lens. Edge to edge sharpness even at full aperture. The size and weight for the micro 4:3 system is high but given the maximum aperture it has to be expected, compared to full size systems its small and light. The focal length of 75mm (150mm for 35mm systems) could be regarded as neither here nor there but having previously used a 40-150 micro 4:3 zoom I realised I was often in the middle of that range. Still to try the lens in town at night but from other reviews I understand the bokeh to be also outstanding.
Crystal clear photos even at widest aperture, great focal length for portraits and close-in street photography, a pleasure to use
