I bought a pair of CM4 second hand last year along with a cmc and a pair of cm2's. I was changing from 601 s2's. I have also owned a pair of DM 602.5 s3 a cc6 and a cdm1nt and also heard a set of 603 s2's in the past of b&w's offerings. I don't quite understand how the 600 s2 series still fetches more money in direct comparison than the cm series of the same era. They have b&w nautilus technology tweeters, are made to a higher aesthetic finish (these are veneered not plastic vinyl coverings) with higher costing material & heavier magnets on the drivers, like for like (yes I have had them out and weighed them) they sound deeper and cleaner than the 600s. These are fantastic sounding and looking speakers which are a clear upgrade from the 600 series including the s3's in my opinion. The cmc center speaker, I would have rather to have had a larger single driver option instead of the two smaller ones.... like the cdm1nt config which is probably the range's only weakness. Any other shortfalls of these speakers will only be noticed in very high end amplifiers or receivers, certainly nothing under the £2000 price point. Yes the NT range is a a better sounding and looking set up.....BUT you try and get a matching set in good condition these days, either 9's or 7's, 1's & cnt for less than £1500! happy hunting I've had Nt's on my watch list now for 8 years and only a handful of descent ones, usually scattered all around the country in pairs came up. The CM's seem plentiful at the moment and can be had for a song (No pun intended) Don't think anymore about it just buy them you wont be disapointedRead full review

These speakers produce a very clear and detailed sound with very good stereo imaging and sound stage. The bass is tight and well controlled.
