I seem resistant to the non-prescription sleep helps on the market. Occasionally I took Syndol, but of course the codeine in that turns to morphine in the liver and eventually people need more and more. Doxylamine succinate was, I believe, the sleepy part of Syndol and works for me. I have never had to take more than one at half an hour before bed time, and I have taken it for about 4 years. It helps me get back to sleep if I wake after a few hours and that used to be my biggest sleep problem. I must say though that blacking-out your room and having a memory foam mattress or topper and a good feather pillow are also highly recommended.

While it may work for you, this product just didn't work for me. In fact, when I used it, it caused me to have a dreadful, disrupted sleep where I would be wakeful for hours and generally feel jittery, and uncomfortable. I now use a product called Somnalunex to help me sleep, which for me works wonderfully well. I will say this again: this Kirkland product didn't work for me, but it may work for you.

Love it, the first try is really strong as you're not used to it, and it'll knock you out easily for 12 hours and make you really groggy all day the next day. So for the first try i say take half a pill, and make sure you know you'll be fine sleeping 12 hours without much to do the next day. With the next try, assuming it's the following night or so, you can try a whole pill, as you'll be slightly more immune to it, making it not so strong, and you'll be less groggy as well, but not by much. Over all, it works at getting you to fall asleep as well as making you stay asleep. Great product basically.

I really like this sleep aid. It not only helps me fall asleep but stay asleep longer. I usually have trouble staying asleep for more than a few hours at a time. With this stuff I can easily get 8-9 hours of sleep. It can make me feel groggy sometimes though. I will get up after a good long sleep and feel like I should go back to bed for just a few more hours. Sometimes I will just take a half of one.
